Hi! My name is Teacher Anne. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English. I am a licensed professional teacher here in the Philippines and trained to teach English to foreign students such as Japanese, Korean and Chinese students.
Before working as an English Teacher, I have also worked as a Customer Support and Technical Support Representative. I realized later on that it wasn't my calling and that my heart is still in the teaching profession.
I worked as a Phone English Language Coordinator right after my Call Center job. It was only an audio class where the classes range from 10 mins, 20 mins to 40 mins. Most of our lessons are Article Discussion and some TOEFL and TOEIC ones. Most of the students given to me are Intermediate and Advanced students. They are already quite good at expressing themselves well and commit little to no error when it comes to sentence construction and pronunciation. I stayed with the company for 3 years. Within those three years, a lot of our teachers have left due to the change of management and for personal reasons. Not long after, I have decided to follow their footsteps.
I moved to another Korean company and stayed there for a year. There we have video classes and most students are beginner and intermediate students. Our materials are Textbook based and we use an E-classroom software to teach. As I have mentioned, I stayed with this company for a year. After a year, I received a call from a public school to teach Junior High School Students.
However, teaching, learning and having conversations with Korean, Japanese and Chinese students are far different from teaching at a local public school here in the Philippines. I have decided to take part-time tutorial jobs with home-based online companies. I am still working for a company based in Japan, but the number of students aren't that many yet so I have decided to set up his blog.
See you in one of my classes!
